Irene Antonez is a Prague-based artist who creates surreal, psychedelic-inspired paintings exploring nature, animism, and psychedelic philosophy. Her work often features entheogenic plants, fungi, and microscopic organisms.

 

She has developed a unique teaching approach that combines art, nature, science, spirituality, and psychedelia into one immersive creative experience.

Each workshop begins with fun art history lecture often combined with insights into botany, biology, and the natural world. As a transition to the painting process, there’s an interactive segment where each participant receives carefully prepared visual references and philosophical messages to inspire their future work.

 

The practical part includes a step-by-step acrylic painting session, where participants learn essential techniques while creating their own original artwork.

Over the past four years, Antonez has been leading art workshops in her Prague studio as well as at international conferences and festivals, including Burning Mountain (Switzerland), Breaking Convention (UK), PilzFest (Austria), Fungi Fest (Germany), Ozora Festival (Hungary),  Psychodeliscious (Czech Republic) and more. She has also taught at universities, schools, hotels, restaurants, and cultural venues throughout Prague.

She has also appeared on podcasts like Mycopreneur and starred in the short film Mushroom Magic.

 

Antonez’s workshops encourage curiosity, open-mindedness, and a deeper appreciation of the natural world through art.
