WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Humans are meant to be together. Why is it so hard sometimes to be in relationship? We must constantly navigate our own needs and wishes amid personal, social, cultural and work engagements. We often find ourselves bending too far, compromising our values, neither knowing how to say no to what we don’t want, nor yes to our deeper desires. In this workshop, using art, movement and somatics, we will tap into our longings and limits, and practice staying connected and true to them, even under pressure. You will leave with more clarity about what is truly important to you and how to establish a middle ground that preserves both your own health and that of your relationships. The workshop is run by somatic coach Glynis Hull-Rochelle and art therapist Laura Henderson, who have been running workshops and support groups together since 2016 as Form & Flow.  What to bring: A notebook for journaling. Tea and light snacks will be available. Bring something to share if you like. What to wear: Comfortable clothes suitable for movement and artmaking. Warm socks, if you like, as we will work barefoot. Location: We may move the event to another location. You will be informed if there is a change of location.
