Make your own mini rug

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Design and create your own rug at Tufting Prague, hosted at our home base, Studio 32 in Letná. No experience is needed, our instructors guide you through every step. You’re welcome to join solo, with friends or family, we always make sure that everyone feels at ease and it is a great creative way to meet new people. What you’ll do: We start with a short introduction to the tufting technique and safety basics. You’ll then draw your chosen design onto the fabric base, before tufting it yourself with a tufting gun under our instructor’s guidance. We finish with trimming, cleaning up the edges, and glueing the backing so your piece is ready to take home. Materials provided: Tufting gun, primary/backing fabric on a frame, a wide selection of colored yarns, plus trimming shears, glue, and all other tools you need, everything’s included. What you take home: Your own finished, original tufted piece, a rug you designed and made yourself. Pricing: Mini 25*25 cm: 1350 CKZ Small 30*40 cm: 1700 CZK What to bring: A hair tie or something to keep back hair in the front of your face Dress code: No special dresscode. We use machine oil and glue in the workshop, usually washable but maybe take this into account to avoid staining important clothing. Age requirements: Independent participants 14+, children 9+ accompanied by a parent Feel free to join alone and meet people on the spot or bring a friend and share the fun!
